37 exhibitors presented products at the Otus Trade Fair.
The Otus Trade Fair, which caters exclusively for trade visitors, was staged for the eighth time at the end of September. 201 speciality businesses visited the show – more than ever before. An unbelievable 80 per cent of all Finnish pet product retailers came to this year’s exhibition, an astonishing percentage in international comparisons. 37 exhibitors, mainly wholesalers and importers, presented their pet-related products.
The stands were of a high quality.
The show, organized by the wholesalers’ association Otus ry, was as always a good opportunity to make new contacts and renew existing ones. The high presentation quality of the stands met with a positive response from visitors, with each exhibitor presenting new products on a separate stand.

This was the first time that exhibitors had the chance to vote for the best pet product businesses in Finland. First prize went to Virvan and Vesan Karvakorvat Oy from Turku. Toiseksi eniten ääniä sai Salon Akvaario Oy from Salo took second place, while third place was awarded to Hyväksi Haukuttu of Seinäjoki.

At the show gala, Risto Haantaus was honoured for his services to the Otus Trade Fair, receiving a statue depicting a creature – “otus” is the Finnish word for creature – and a certificate of appreciation.
