The India International Pet Trade Fair (IIPTF) and the 7th edition of Aquagic, India’s largest aquatics trade fair, celebrated a successful year in Hall No. 6 of Bharat Mandapam (formerly known as Pragati Maidan) in New Delhi. The two-day event once again established itself as the largest B2B platform for the pet industry on the Indian subcontinent, bringing together brands, distributors, retailers, importers and industry professionals from India and abroad, according to the organisers, Creature Companion Magazine.
The event welcomed 210 exhibitors from 16 countries, along with international visitors from 12 countries. Total attendance over the two days reached 12,425 visitors. The exhibition hall remained consistently busy throughout both days, while the Creature Companion Hub and Creature Companion Huddle attracted full audiences at each of the consecutive events.
’We are delighted with the growth and energy shown by the pet industry this year. We hope to build on this momentum and make the platform as comprehensive as possible for all our stakeholders,’ said Linda Hawke, organiser of the IIPTF, reflecting on the outcome of the event. She added that the exhibition had brought together stakeholders from across the industry under one roof, reaffirming the IIPTF’s position as India’s most comprehensive meeting point for the pet industry.
A comprehensive programme
The atmosphere at Bharat Mandapam was already lively well before the exhibition floor opened. The Pet Industry Dialogue took place one day ahead of the fair, bringing together industry leaders for open discussions on the direction of the market. This was followed by the Pet Industry Awards on the opening evening, which recognised outstanding companies, entrepreneurs and organisations dedicated to supporting pets and their owners across India.
With record attendance and well-attended events at both the Hub and the Huddle, the 16th IIPTF and 7th Aquagic highlighted the continued momentum of India’s pet industry. The strong response has further reinforced the IIPTF’s commitment to developing an increasingly comprehensive platform for industry stakeholders in the years ahead.
