In-Store Asia 2026 has successfully concluded at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, once again reaffirming its role as India’s leading platform for retail innovations, according to the organisers
Over three days at the end of May, the event brought together key players from the retail sector, including leading brands and suppliers from the fields of technology, design, architecture and visual merchandising. The 17th edition featured 80 exhibitors and welcomed more than 5,000 trade visitors. The trade fair thus once again provided a vibrant platform for networking, collaboration and forward-looking industry exchange.
This year’s event showcased the latest developments in the sectors of retail technology, digital signage, visual merchandising, lighting, shopfitting, POS solutions, experience-oriented retail concepts and sustainable store design.
Two new highlights on the exhibition floor broadened the event’s profile: the ‘Designers’ Village’, which provided a stage for creative retail concepts and visual storytelling, and the ‘Retail Tech Integration’ area, which focused on technologies such as AI-powered retail tools, smart store ecosystems and connected customer experiences.
The accompanying conference programme and industry forums featured discussions on changing consumer expectations, experience-driven retail formats, artificial intelligence in retail, and the transformation of brick-and-mortar retail in an increasingly digital market environment.
Once again, the VM&RD Retail Design Awards were among the event’s highlights, recognising outstanding achievements and innovations in the fields of visual merchandising and retail design. The VM Challenge also returned: six teams competed live against one another to develop creative shop window concepts under the theme ‘Little Worlds, Big Imaginations’.
The next edition of In-Store Asia will take place in Mumbai from 12 to 14 May 2027. For more information, visit: www.instoreasia.in.
