Oase has designed and executed an impressive water feature in southern China consisting of 1 724 clay jugs in the form of a pyramid. Water now flows from original clay jugs formerly used to hold rice wine. Additional effects are created during the day and at night using illumination and artificially produced swathes of mist.
This technically demanding installation in the exhibition centre of the renowned producer of rice wine, Shazhou Youhuang, symbolises the importance of rice wine for the company as a national drink in China. It links various buildings in the architectural ensemble and forms an attraction for visitors to the company.
