PET in Europe: Your company offers products that are intended to be oriented to the welfare of pets, satisfy ecological criteria and were not produced with the aid of animal testing. However, these criteria apply to other products too. How do you intend to differentiate your company from other manufacturers of natural products?
Gianluca Vitali: As far as we know, there aren’t any producers on the market to date that can offer natural and eco-friendly products, at least not as we mean it. We strongly believe that our absolute goal is the achievement of well-being. For us, this goal can only be reached through personal motivation. All this can be seen in practice in the dedication of our technical staff, committed to continuous R&D without skimping on costs, in order to achieve the highest quality results both in terms of pro-duct development and packaging materials. We shouldn’t forget that every manufacturing process has an impact on the surrounding environment, and our efforts are primarily aimed at minimizing this impact based on a sustainable development model by using high quality organic ingredients and either recyclable or biodegradable packaging materials. All our products have been certified as organic by SoCert, a reliable and competent certification body that satisfies the sector’s specific requirements, which we ourselves have chosen in order to ensure high production standards from a quality and technical standpoint. We are also very proud of the acknowledgement granted to all our products as “not tested on animals” by the LAV (Anti Vivisection League) for the ECEAE (European Coalition to End Animal Experiments) on the basis of the only officially recognized international standard. Reaching this goal has brought us great satisfaction, because as far as we know we are the only manufacturing company in the sector to have been granted this acknowledgement. However, we also feel sorry that nobody else or very few other companies are aware of the serious issues concerning animal experimentation. It will therefore be our responsibility and task to inform people about this problem through production activities, awareness-raising campaigns and other initiatives all aimed at stopping this aberrant, criminal and completely useless practice.
