Managing director Uwe Jacobs cites a good price-performance ratio and strict adherence to deadlines as the main reasons for his company’s success abroad. “Customers have to be able to rely on us. At the beginning of each new project we therefore produce a highly accurate and realistic fitting plan”, Jacobs explains. Reliability is also the principal requirement when putting the plan into practice. “Our clients are accustomed to having their shop fittings completed and functioning in two weeks maximum.”

Juwel Ladenbau’s busiest periods are the months of January and February and also between August and October. To be able to cope with the rush of orders during these periods, the plant at Visselhövede, close to Hannover, produces as much as possible in advance in the other months. The relatively expensive assembly time on site can be kept comparatively short as a result. The quota of defects is also reduced, a particularly important factor where store operators are concerned.

The degree of flexibility that Juwel Ladenbau is able to demonstrate in its planning and execution is attributable to the spatial and technical potential of the new premises to which the company moved four years ago. The shop-fitting company has modern production halls occupying an area of 3 000 m2 and a 700 m2 administration block at its disposal in Visselhövede. Juwel Ladenbau has invested over 125 000 euro alone in a PC-controlled machining centre for machining panels. Thanks to the professional technology deployed, the panels are cut to fit exactly and the cuts produced cleanly. Metal sections are produced and stocked in three standard colours, black, dark bronze and silver. Other colours are also available by special request. In addition to a new production line, the glass finishing department boasts a glass washing machine, a grinding machine, a cutting table and a drilling machine. All special orders can thus be completed professionally and to a high quality standard.
The overall production system is laid out rationally and with the shortest possible routes between the individual production stages. Supplies of timber, glass and other materials, for example, are thus established around the actual final assembly point, contributing to streamlining of the production process.
