The organisers of the Pet Design District, which made its debut during Milan Design Week in April, have launched a follow-up project. Pet Design City was presented for the first time on 3 and 4 October at the Milan edition of the consumer show Quattrozampeinfiera, which acts as launch partner. Exhibitors at the first Pet Design District included Poltrona Frau, United Pets, Cloud7 and Dog Copenhagen, according to the organisers’ website.
The project is described as a curatorial platform on how urban spaces can be designed for people and animals living together. At its core is a map that can be explored both on site and digitally via QR code. It is divided into nine thematic areas: home, care, shopping, enjoy, education, hospitality, mobility, outdoor and memorial. Local and international companies are to use the platform to present products, environments and services.
