PetZoo Eurasia opens for the 12th time from 7 to 10 October at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) in Yeşilköy, occupying halls 1 to 3. Organiser Ulusal Fuarcılık expects more than 300 exhibiting companies and upwards of 16,000 professional visitors from over 100 countries. Across the series since 2012 the organiser counts 301,081 visitors and 1,366 exhibiting companies in total.
The supporting programme is broader than the trade-only formats European buyers will be used to. It includes an international cat show, a seminar on the care of exotic species, grooming demonstrations and competitions, and sessions with veterinarians on health, nutrition and behaviour.
That breadth reflects the event's audience. PetZoo Eurasia is not a closed trade fair: opening hours run from 10.00 to 19.00 and consumers are admitted alongside the trade. The organiser puts the professional visitor ratio at 71 per cent, which leaves close to a third of attendees outside the trade, and the share of foreign visitors at 21 per cent. Buyers planning a trip should allow for that when scheduling meetings.
Main sponsor of the 2026 edition is the German cat brand GimCat, with the Turkish contract manufacturer Promax as co-sponsor; the Turkish sector association UFYD is among the supporting organisations. Details and visitor registration: www.petfuari.com
The same organiser has meanwhile set dates for a second event: Petzoo Africa is to run from 21 to 23 April 2027 at the Cairo International Convention & Exhibition Centre, billed as the first international pet products exhibition on the African continent.
