Driven by increasing regulatory pressure alongside rising sustainability expectations, pet food producers are seeking solutions that balance product protection, environmental impact and operational efficiency, Coveris states in a press release. PFAS, often referred to as ‘forever chemicals’, are under increasing scrutiny due to their persistence in the environment and tightening regulations. From August 2026, strict EU limits on PFAS in food-contact packaging will apply.
