Coveris, a leading European packaging manufacturer, has received Level 2 RecyClass certification for the traceability of recycled plastics at three of its sites. This marks an important step for the company towards greater transparency and the promotion of a circular economy for plastic packaging, as Coveris announced in its press release.

The RecyClass certification for traceability confirms that recycled plastics can be documented and tracked throughout the entire production process – from the source of the waste right through to the finished product. Furthermore, the ‘Recycled Plastics Traceability’ certificate verifies that recycled materials are sourced responsibly, recorded throughout the supply chain and used in clearly defined proportions. This ensures that information on the recycled content is transparent and traceable.
