Coveris, a leading European flexible packaging manufacturer, has strengthened its production capabilities in Central and Eastern Europe through investments of €1.8 million in its two Polish manufacturing plants, according to a media statement. The investment in new machinery and technology is intended to increase production speed and enhance consumer functionality across its packaging portfolio for food, pet food and personal care sectors.

Using the latest flexographic advancements, Coveris has installed a Soma Proxima high-speed printing press, enabling mainstream wide web applications to run at speeds of up to 400 metres per minute. Besides increasing capacity by approximately 30 percent annually, the investment delivers faster turnaround times, consistent high-quality print and greater operational efficiency for high-volume packaging formats, according to the company.
