The Nutriment Company (TNC), a European market leader in high-quality, fresh and natural pet food, announces the formation of its Scientific Advisory Board. The team is composed of veterinary and research experts dedicated to advancing the science behind natural pet nutrition. The initiative reinforces TNC's mission to improve pet health through natural, minimally processed foods that meet their biological needs.
The Scientific Advisory Board brings together TNC's in-house pet nutrition specialists with internationally renowned external experts. Together, they will provide strategic scientific advice, advise on product development and strengthen the company's research collaborations in the field of pet health and nutrition. The new advisory board consists of seven members from the fields of veterinary medicine, research and business.
According to TNC, a growing number of peer-reviewed studies highlight the significant benefits that natural, fresh nutrition can offer compared to conventional dry or wet food. Research from institutions such as the DogRisk Research Group and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) reports benefits such as improved balance of the gastrointestinal microbiome in dogs fed fresh, minimally processed food, as well as positive results in other studies in areas such as allergy prevalence, energy metabolism, and coat and joint health. With its Scientific Advisory Board, TNC aims to build on this and deepen scientific understanding in the field of natural nutrition, develop advanced, scientifically based recipes and promote responsible, evidence-based feeding recommendations in close collaboration with veterinarians. TNC will continue to collaborate with academic institutions such as the DogRisk Research Group to support ongoing studies and share important new findings with the pet owner community.
