This Pet Fair Asia will be the largest event in its history

Pet Fair Asia, the continent’s largest pet industry trade show, returns for its 27th edition to Shanghai from August 20–24, 2025, with a record-breaking 3.34 mn sq ft (310,000 m₂) of exhibition space and over 2,600 exhibitors. Pet Fair Asia 2025 is set to be a global platform for innovation, networking, and business development in one of the world’s fastest-growing pet markets.

Despite global economic headwinds, the event continues its double-digit growth, reinforcing China’s role as a key manufacturing and innovation hub in the global pet sector.

This year’s edition coincides with Shanghai’s “Pet-Friendly Month,” a city-wide initiative promoting a thriving pet economy. The fair will spotlight cutting-edge innovations, including AI-powered pet tech, smart devices, and gourmet pet food, showcased in the Discovery and Genius Hub zones. Pet Fashion Week will debut collections from major lifestyle brands, while over 50 emerging Chinese labels will feature in the Start-Up Zone.

International participation is at an all-time high, with international brands occupying two full dedicated halls and dedicated pavilions from six countries and a surge in overseas visitors. Overseas visitor numbers have also surged in recent years. In 2024, the show welcomed 124,000 professionals from 91 countries, with international attendees making up 10% and registering an impressive 41.8% increase over 2023. The 2025 edition is expected to continue this upward trend.

The show spans 25 halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), covering everything from the largest categories pet food and accessories, each filling six halls, to veterinary solutions and supply chain services, including a new 161,459 sq ft (15,000 m₂) hall for small animals and a dedicated cat zone.

In co-location, Pet Fair Supply will showcase the entire supply chain, spanning eight outdoor halls with over 700 exhibitors across 592,015 sq ft (55,000 m²), marking a 30% increase from 2024.

At the same time, Pet Fair Veterinary will occupy two halls with 322,917 sq ft (30,000 m²), bringing together more than 700 brands specialized in pet healthcare, veterinary equipment, and medical solutions, offering a comprehensive look at the latest advances in pet medicine.
