Zooplus broadens its management team

Zooplus, Europe’s leading online platform for pet supplies, has announced the appointment of Anja Honnefelder as chief people officer and Carlo Guagnano as chief sales officer. In assuming their new posts, both will become members of the Zooplus executive committee and will work at the Zooplus head office in Munich.

Anja Honnefelder will be responsible for all aspects of HR, including people operations, talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement and communication. Her previous role was as chief people and legal officer at the online portal trivago.

Carlo Guagnano will head up central and regional sales and the pricing and promotions team. He was previously director of B2B at the e-commerce company Wayfair. Between 2013 and 2021, Guagnano held a number of commercial managerial roles at Amazon in Luxembourg and Munich.
