APPMA opens government affairs office in Washington, D.C.

The association has retained the services of McKenna, Long and Aldridge LLP to act as consultants and to serve as an advocate on behalf of pet product manufacturers

Bob Vetere, managing director and C.O.O. of the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association (APPMA), has announced that the association has opened a government affairs office in Washington, D.C. APPMA has retained the services of McKenna, Long and Aldridge LLP to act as consultants and to serve as an advocate on behalf of pet product manufacturers for product issues on Capitol Hill. Working together with Marshall Meyers and PIJAC will ensure that the full range of issues pertaining to the pet industry will be represented in Washington, D.C.
McKenna, Long and Aldridge LLP is an international law firm with staff experts in food and pesticide law, international trade including a China specialist, intellectual property and homeland security. The firm also has non-profit association experience, lobbyists and an environmental consulting firm with toxicologists who specialize in the regulatory aspects of pesticides.
