Aquarama 2005: Success surpasses expectations

16.06.2005
5 000 trade representatives and nearly 21 000 general public visitors

This year Aquarama was a record-breaking event in many of its aspects. It was the largest edition ever staged, taking up no less than 10 000 m² of gross exhibition space. 60 per cent of this year's exhibitors have already signed up for 2007. On the visitor front, this edition attracted over 5 000 trade representatives and nearly 21 000 general public visitors, showing a 7 per cent increase in overseas delegates, when compared to the trade attendance figures for 2003. The Fish Competition broke all previous records too: there were 1 400 tanks housing an array of species and varieties from guppies to dragon fish. A second innovation, the launch of InterGarden – a sub-event dedicated exclusively to the pond and water garden sector – also proved highly successful and, like the Marine Tank Competition, looks certain to be expanded for Aquarama 2007, which will be held from 24-27 May 2007 at Singapore.
