The International Grooming Society (IGS) and the Global Groomer Health Initiative (GGHI) have launched a global study into professional groomers' expectations of cosmetic products and their manufacturers. The survey is open until 30 November 2026, with the results expected to be published in early 2027.

The study aims to examine the importance that professional groomers attach to various product characteristics, and to assess how well the market currently meets their expectations. As well as product performance and value for money, topics covered include health and safety at work, repeated occupational exposure, fragrances and allergens, and transparency regarding ingredients and safety.
