Growth in the new EU countries

07.07.2004

In a special issue, PET in Europe reports on the new member states and analyses Interzoo 2004

The Polish pet food market has grown by around 1.5 per cent in the last year. This is in contrast to 2002, when growth rates were still in double figures. However, the trend in the Czech Republic remained positive, with growth rates of approximately six per cent. The trade magazine PET in Europe reports on the pet market in Poland and other countries that have joined the European Union in the latest EU enlargement in a special issue. As well as articles looking for example at the process of concentration and competition trends in various European countries, and a focus on pet food, the magazine also contains a detailed retrospective on Interzoo.
