Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo lifted second-quarter revenue by 7.1 per cent to €930 million, taking group revenue for the first half of 2026 to €1.9 bn, 6.9 per cent above the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA for the six months rose by 9.3 per cent to €158 m. The Krefeld-based group opened 53 stores in the quarter, mainly in France, Italy and Poland, bringing the network to 2,964 outlets, 180 more than a year earlier.
Behind the headline growth the picture is more mixed than the announcement suggests. Like-for-like revenue rose by around 3 per cent in the second quarter, down from 4.0 per cent in the first, so a larger share of the increase now comes from new space rather than from existing stores. Quarterly revenue was also barely ahead of the €928 m recorded in Q1, despite the additional 53 locations.
