Registration for Global Pet Expo 2027 has opened. Presented by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and the Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA), the show will run from 17 to 19 March 2027 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida – a week earlier in the month than the 2026 edition. According to APPA, the event draws close to 20,000 industry professionals, with more than 1,200 exhibitors, 3,500 booths and in excess of 1,000 new product launches a year.

The substantive change for 2027 concerns The Pet Summit, which runs from 15 to 18 March and is being repositioned as an extension of the trade show rather than a separate event. Two formats are new: Connector Rooms, combining expert panels, structured Q&A and guided networking for defined peer groups, and Speaker Deep-Dives, which continue selected Global Learning Series sessions as smaller, workshop-style sessions. APPA CEO Pete Scott said the summit was being developed in response to demand for more focused settings in which to build industry relationships.

APPA has also entered a year-long partnership with Stronger Shot, a US programme run by pet photographer Adam Goldberg that produces professional photos and videos of shelter animals to replace their intake pictures. The initiative will follow selected animals from rescue through to adoption in digital and social content, with some of them appearing as ambassadors at Global Pet Expo 2027 and The Pet Summit.

Registration covers the exhibit hall, the new products showcase, the Global Learning Series education programme and eligible networking events. Details on The Pet Summit and its premium programming are issued during the registration process. Registration is available at www.globalpetexpo.org/attend.
