Fragrance and flavour manufacturer Symrise reports that it recorded solid business performance in the first half of 2026, with momentum picking up in the second quarter. The Pet Food division, which forms part of the Taste, Nutrition & Health segment, recorded a slight organic decline in turnover in the second quarter, which the company attributes to ongoing price normalisation in the nutrition sector.
The overarching Taste, Nutrition & Health segment grew organically by 3.2 per cent in the first half of the year to a turnover of 1,530 million euros (previous year: 1,527 million euros). This performance was driven primarily by the Food & Beverage division, which recorded growth in the mid-single-digit percentage range. The segment’s adjusted EBITDA rose to 375 million euros, whilst the adjusted EBITDA margin improved slightly to 24.5 per cent.
