Spain's professional pet trade fair is entering a new chapter under a new name. The event previously known as IberZoo Propet will run as IberPet for its 2027 edition, taking place from 10 to 12 March 2027 at Ifema Madrid.

Organised by Ifema, the fair is again driven by the Madrid Association of Pet Veterinarians (AMVAC) and the Spanish Association of Pet Product Distributors (AEDPAC), backed by leading sector bodies including AEVET, ANFAAC, CEVE, the VET+i Foundation and Veterindustria. The organisers position it as the central professional meeting point for the pet care ecosystem in southern Europe.

The new edition builds on the 2026 results, when 302 exhibiting companies representing 1,200 brands drew more than 21,000 professional visitors. According to the organisers, the figures confirm the momentum of the sector.

The rebrand to IberPet grows out of the evolution of IberZoo Propet and is intended to reflect both the fair's sustained growth and the wider transformation of the pet care sector. The organisers describe it as a strategic step towards strengthening the fair's global positioning and its recognition as a benchmark platform for the industry – with the ambition to attract new markets and consolidate its leadership in Spain and across Europe.

IberPet 2027 is presented as a comprehensive space for business, innovation and knowledge, bringing together manufacturers, distributors, veterinary professionals and service companies around its exhibition offering and content programme. As in previous years, the fair coincides with VetMadrid, the annual congress organised by AMVAC, and with the IberPet Forum organised by AEDPAC – combining commercial activity, specialist training and sector-wide knowledge exchange under one roof.

The organisers point to the scale of the underlying market as a backdrop: the Spanish pet sector exceeds €3 bn and shows a high level of social penetration, contributing to more than 46,900 direct and 356,000 indirect jobs. Companies wishing to exhibit can apply via the fair's website.
