The international trade fair IberPet, the new brand name for the former Iberzoo Propet, has launched the marketing campaign for its next edition. The fair will take place from 10 to 12 March 2027 at IFEMA Madrid and is aimed at professionals and companies in the pet industry.

The ʻFeria Internacional para el Profesional del Animal de Compañía‘ is organised by IFEMA Madrid. The event is hosted by the Madrid Association of Companion Animal Veterinarians (AMVAC) and the Spanish industry association AEDPAC. The fair is supported by, amongst others, AEVET, ANFAAC, CEVE, Fundación Vet+i and Veterindustria.

According to the organisers, the Spanish pet market is now worth more than 3 billion euros. It also accounts for over 46,900 direct and around 356,000 indirect jobs. The growing importance of pets in households, as well as the rising demand for specialised products and services, are driving the market’s continued growth.

At the last edition, the trade fair attracted 302 exhibitors, 1,200 brands and more than 21,000 trade visitors from 80 countries. In 2027, IberPet is set to once again offer manufacturers, distributors, specialist retailers, vets and service providers a platform for product presentations, networking and business development.

A new feature is the International Hosted Buyers Programme, which is specifically designed to promote direct contact between exhibitors and buyers from various markets. The aim is to foster new business relationships, facilitate entry into further markets and expand the trade fair’s international reach.

The exhibition will be complemented by an extensive programme of specialist events. These include, amongst others, the 9th IberPet Forum, industry studies and market analyses, the IberPet Classroom, demonstrations in the dog grooming area, specialist meetings and awards for innovative achievements in the sector.

Running in parallel is the VetMadrid veterinary congress, organised once again by AMVAC. The combination of both events is expected to attract numerous vets to Madrid and will be of particular interest to companies in the fields of animal health, nutrition, medical technology, technology and services.
