The British pet food manufacturer Burgess Pet Care has announced the acquisition of the German small animal pet food brand Bunny Nature. According to the company’s press release, this move represents a significant milestone in Burgess’s global growth strategy, through which the group aims to increase its international turnover fivefold to £12.5 million.
The acquisition, which was completed as part of an asset purchase, is Burgess’s largest international transaction to date, following the acquisition of the natural dog food brand ‘Green Pantry’ and the investment in the fresh dog food subscription company ‘Tuggs’.
