Radix Ventures invests in Proteine Resources

Proteine Resources, a Polish biotech startup, announces a new investment round with participation from Radix Ventures. Radix’s investment extends the €9.5 million financing secured in July 2025 from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator, bringing the company’s total capital access to nearly €12 million in 2025.

The Proteine Resources team has patented the production process of EntoPro, ‘a revolutionary ingredient with exceptional properties.’ First, the alternative proteins created by this Polish startup are delicious, with over 80% of dogs and cats choosing food supplemented with EntoPro, making it the most palatable alternative protein on the market, says the company. Second, the alternative protein’s composition matches 1:1 with beef, providing a full amino acid profile ensuring complete nutrition. Third, it simultaneously possesses additional nutritional and prebiotic properties, validated by numerous tests.

‘Science confirms that the gut is the second brain, and we believe animals deserve the very best,’ says Bartłomiej Roszkowski, co-founder and co-CEO of Proteine Resources, adding: ‘EntoPro is not just an ingredient but the foundation of the Dual-Action Gut Health system, combining prebiotics and postbiotics to support gut health as the basis for the entire organism.’

Investment in clinical research, product development, and technologyFunds raised this year will enable the construction of the world’s first fully autonomous alternative protein factory and the expansion of a pilot facility in the Mazowieckie region, increasing production capacity tenfold to 100 tons annually. Beyond infrastructure expansion, the startup will also invest in further clinical research and the development of functional products that genuinely improve animal quality of life. The company will use financing for commercialization of its flagship product and expansion into European markets.

The company plans to launch its first ready-to-market, functional formulations and products under a private label model already in Q1 2026.
