Giane van Landuyt is the new CEO

Giane van Landuyt has been country manager at Maxi Zoo Belgium since May 2025. She has taken responsibility for the entire national business from François Valdivieso. Previously, she was CEO of the international interior design specialist retail chain Casa and Beliving.

François Valdivieso, the previous CEO, left Maxi Zoo Belgium after six years to seek a new challenge after the summer. “We have created fantastic career opportunities for animal lovers, more than doubled our turnover, and expanded our Belgian network from 44 to almost 80 stores. We have also launched our online shop, establishing Maxi Zoo as a true omnichannel brand“, he wrote on LinkedIn, reflecting on his time at the company. "This journey has been about building, developing and optimising, with people and expert advice always at the heart of everything we do. Now that Maxi Zoo Belgium has a strong team and a comprehensive board of directors in place, it is time to pass the baton to a new CEO who will lead the company into its next phase with new perspectives and renewed energy.”
