Inspired Pet Nutrition achieves big sales uptick

The UK pet food manufacturer Inspired Pet Nutrition (IPN) has passed the GBP 200 mio sales milestone for the first time. Based in North Wales, the company produces pet food under the Harringtons, Wagg, Barking Heads & Meowing Heads and AATU brands.

Richard Page took over from his father Bill Page as head of the company in 2006. The family-owned firm was originally established to trade in wheat and commenced pet food production in 1925. It ceased production for a while and was relaunched in 1990 under the name Wagg Foods.

In 2020, private equity company CapVest became Inspired Pet Nutrition’s new majority shareholder following its sale by L Catterton.
