Preliminary results for fiscal 2023

Pets at Home increases sales by 6.6 per cent

The UK retailer Pets at Home has released preliminary figures for fiscal 2023, which ended on 30 March 2023. According to these, the group reported overall sales growth of 6.6 per cent to £1.4 bn (approx. 1.62 bn euros). The retailer’s like-for-like sales (LFL) increased by 7.9 per cent, with veterinary group sales rising by 13.3 per cent (LFL: 13.4 per cent). Retail sales growth was reported to be 5.9 per cent (LFL: 7.5 per cent).

“All channels contributed to growth, and we delivered further progress in our relative price competitiveness,” the company reports. According to the report, free cash flow increased by 3.5 per cent to £98.2 mio (approx. 113.5 mio euros). Cash and cash equivalents at end of year were £178 mio (approx. 206 mio euros).
