Grupo Petz Cobasi has reported strong first-quarter results for 2026, marking the newly combined group’s first reporting period following the merger of Brazilian pet retail chains Petz and Cobasi. The company said the quarter demonstrated solid growth, margin expansion and operational discipline, even before significant merger synergies begin to take effect.
Gross revenue for the quarter rose 9.7 per cent year-on-year to R$2.0 bn, with both Petz and Cobasi delivering balanced growth of 9.7 per cent and 9.6 per cent respectively. Digital sales increased 12.7 per cent and accounted for 41.4 per cent of total sales, up 1.1 percentage points from the previous year.
Physical store sales grew 8.0 per cent during the quarter, supported by improving customer traffic, pricing initiatives and stronger store execution. Same-store sales growth reached 9.8 per cent at Petz and 7.4 per cent at Cobasi.
