The German pet food manufacturer Josera intends to significantly expand its plant in Paproć, which is located in Poland approx. 125 km from the German border. This was reported in the newsletter of the trade journal Petfood Industry, drawing on reports in the local Polish daily papers.
The cost of construction at the plant is estimated at around 70 mio dollars. Since the investment is taking place in a special economic zone, Josera may expect to receive tax concessions.
Josera's existing factory in Paproć will now be extended considerably, creating at least 60 new jobs. Josera Polska, the Polish subsidiary of the pet food manufacturer established in 1999, will oversee the new construction.
According to the report, Josera exports to over 60 countries worldwide. Its export quota is indicated to be over 50 per cent in the article.
