By the end of June, gross sales of 1.48 bn euros had been achieved - 857 mio euros of this in Germany, and a further 624 mio euros in the other ten countries covered by the group of companies. Online sales increased by almost 64 per cent compared with the previous year.
Fressnapf's exclusive brands have so far achieved sales totalling 626 million euros. This corresponds to an increase of more than 16 per cent compared with the previous year. In the accessories segment, sales growth of 22 per cent has been recorded so far, while the pet food segment has seen a 20 per cent increase in sales. The top performers in terms of sales growth are in the dog and cat categories, each with a plus of almost 20 per cent.
In the first half of the year, the Fressnapf Group grew by a total of almost 19 per cent in terms of floor space and by 13.3 per cent in terms of transactions, representing almost 50 million shoppers to date. The average receipt has also grown by about seven per cent. Fressnapf and Maxi Zoo customers have an average spend of 25 euros each.
Of the 136 new locations planned for this year, 88 have been opened so far. This includes the 36 outlets in Denmark added through the takeover of competitor Pet-World.
