Zooplus reports sales growth of 14 per cent

Zooplus has reported an increase in the sales growth rate of 14 per cent for the second quarter as compared with 13 per cent in the first quarter, each in comparison with the same period in the previous year. Sales rose in the second quarter of 2019 by 43 mio euros to 363 mio euros (2nd quarter of 2018: 320 mio euros). Sales revenue for the first six months of 2019 thus increased by 84 mio euros to 727 mio euros (1st half of 2018: 643 mio euros).
Adjusted for currency effects, sales growth was likewise 13 per cent, according to Zooplus. At 14 per cent, and also 14 per cent adjusted for currency effects, the growth rate exceeds the comparative value for the first quarter.
For private label sales Zooplus reports growth of 29 per cent in the first six months as compared with the first half of 2018.
New customer business is reported to have increased by 15 per cent in the first quarter of 2019 as compared with the previous year. In the second quarter, the number of new customers registered grew by as much as 32 per cent.
