When the 14th edition of the CIPS - China International Pet Show - opens its doors in October, last year?s record figures may well be topped again. The annual show, organised by the China Great Wall International Exhibition Company and Nürnberg-Messe, will take place for the first time at the New China International Exhibition Center near Beijing airport. According to the organisers, there is a potential increase in floor space at the new location of up to 30 per cent. In 2009 CIPS saw 590 international exhibitors from 68 countries and an unprecedented number of nearly 27 000 visitors and it covered 35 000 m² gross (14 500 m² net). The show alternates between Beijing and Guangzhou each year.
