Nürnberg Global Fairs merged with parent company Nürnberg-Messe

The exhibition and coordinating company Nürnberg Global Fairs is being merged back into its parent company Nürnberg-Messe GmbH with retrospective effect from 1 January. The merger is being realised as part of the expansion strategy announced in 2009, according to Nürnberg-Messe. The company aims to become one of the top 10 international exhibition sites by 2020 by doubling its sales from € 150 mio to € 300 mio. Sales abroad alone are expected to rise to € 50 mio. To achieve this aim, a growing number of local subsidiaries are being established, most recently the companies set up in Brazil and Italy during 2009.
