Backer show moving to September from 2013

Starting in 2013 the American pet trade event, H.H. Backer’s Annual Pet Industry Christmas Trade Show, will move to September. The show will remain in the same location, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Chicago. The show has traditionally been held in the first or second week of October. According to the organiser, the earlier dates make it easier for retailers to plan holiday orders, and for exhibitors to deliver merchandise. “We’ve wanted earlier show dates for quite some time, and are able to get September dates because another show in the convention centre has changed its dates,” said Colette Fairchild, trade show director for H.H. Backer Associates. The new show dates are 20-22 September 2013, 19-21 September 2014 and 18-20 September 2015. All shows are scheduled to take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
