Fressnapf Austria: Sales up by 26 per cent in 2005

Eleven new stores and 60 more staff planned for 2006

An increase in sales of 26 per cent during 2005 enabled Fressnapf Austria to boost its figures to € 53 mio from € 42 mio the previous year. In 2003, the company’s sales were € 32 mio. According to a press release, Fressnapf Austria is thus the most successful market for the German franchise company. Eleven new stores are scheduled to open in 2006 in Austria, with a parallel rise projected in the number of employees from the current 350 to 410. Expansion should then continue up to 2009 with ten new openings a year, the company says in its press release, yielding 100 stores, 580 employees and around € 110 mio.
