For the first time, Dennerle Plants and Tropica shared a stand at the trade fair.
Both well-known brands are committed to the aquarium hobby, albeit in different ways. This deliberate decision to share a stand gave the teams from both companies the opportunity to highlight the similarities and differences to visitors in person.
Whilst Tropica, based in Denmark, continues to develop into a full-range supplier in the aquarium sector and showcased its own aquariums and paludariums for the first time, Dennerle Plants is increasingly positioning itself as a close partner to the retail trade.
With Sicce, a private-label brand was included in the range for the first time, for which the Palatinate-based company is now the official distribution partner for the DACH region.
In addition, the company showcased its new ‘Tetris’ dispatch concept, which enables the safe combined dispatch of plants and hardware and is set to launch in the second half of 2026. The aim is to create an optimal supply chain from producer to end consumer, which reduces stock levels and thereby cuts costs.
Ultimately, however, all activities at Dennerle Plants – just as at Tropica – revolve around plants. ‘Plants are in our DNA; they enable people to bring a piece of nature into their homes.‘ This was evident in the new plant products in the aquatics sector, as well as in terrarium keeping, both as potted plants and in InVitro cups, always well cared for thanks to the expanded CARE programme.
A completely new product range was launched at Dennerle Plants with ‘PLANTS TO GO!‘. The self-service plants in plugs offer added value not only for retailers, but also for end consumers and the environment.
Instead of plastic pots and rockwool, a 100% biodegradable coconut fibre plug is used, which enables end consumers to place the plant directly from the bag into the aquarium at home.
All information about the plant, including the plant passport and EAN, is already printed on the sales bag. This also eliminates the need for a separate label, which simplifies handling in shops and reduces plastic waste at the same time.
The response to PLANTS TO GO! has been consistently positive, and the feedback from visitors motivates us to continue driving the development of new products forward.
Terrarium plants, Plants to Go, new plant varieties and Sicce products are now available to order.
