The excitement was palpable, and the reader trip she won was ‘a trip of a lifetime. People were unbelievably nice and took good care of me. Guangzhou was interesting, clean, safe, lively and full of possibilities,’ sums up Päivi Tiitinen from Petzoo Koulova, a pet shop in Finland. In cooperation with China Great Wall International Exhibition, the organiser of the international pet fair Cips, PET worldwide held a prize draw, enabling her to travel to the fair, which took place from 13 to 16 November at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. She was one of 84,890 visitors (representing a growth rate of 21% compared to the previous year), with visitors from Europe accounting for 21.5% (Asia was in first place with 46%, followed by North America in third place with 14.8%).
She returned with countless photos and lots of new impressions in her luggage and reported to PET worldwide on request:
How would you describe your overall experience at Cips 2025?
The reading trip to Cips was an extremely rewarding experience and offered a valuable combination of product presentations, targeted industry briefings and first-hand market knowledge. In particular, the OFI presentations deepened my understanding of sustainable practices among ornamental fish wholesalers and the ongoing efforts to increase transparency within the supply chain.

Which aspects of the trade fair did you find particularly valuable?
What I appreciate most about CIPS is the opportunity to meet suppliers in person and have in-depth conversations with them, as these conversations provide a clearer picture of both the manufacturers and the products behind them.
