Klever builds a new logistics centre

The German pet health specialist has embarked on the construction of its new finished goods warehouse and logistics centre. The warehouse covers an overall area of 800 m² and offers space for 800 pallets. In the 250 m² logistics centre, pallets, parcels and sales displays will be assembled. According to the company, construction will be completed in the autumn. Klever has invested around € 1 mio in the new warehouse. 
The construction of the finished goods warehouse and logistics centre is the conclusion of a multistage plan to expand capacity at Klever. The first stage, commencing in 2009, comprised the construction of two stores for individual parts. In 2012 and 2014 production capacity was extended with the addition of two automated aerosol filling installations. The capacity expansion plan is now being concluded for the time being with the building of the new warehouse and logistics centre.

New cooperative relationship 

Dohse Aquaristik has been distributing Zolux's pet product range in Germany since 1 June. This new cooperative relationship instantly turns Dohse into a full-range supplier with a range of 5 500 products. According to Dohse, this range will also be augmented by 700 new items per year. Hitherto the company from Grafschaft Gelsdorf specialised entirely in the aquatics and reptile segments.

Tropica Aquarium takes over Wet Pets

The Danish aquatic plants specialist Tropica Aquarium has announced that it is expanding its activities by taking over Wet Pets, based in Vancouver/Canada. Wet Pets has been dealing in fish and aquatic plants in Canada for the last six years and has extensive expertise in logistics and distribution in the area, stresses Tropica Aquarium. The owner of Wet Pets, Kyle Nelson, has been appointed CEO of Tropica North America and is to continue to develop Tropica's presence in both Canada and the United States.

New Hunter brand stores

The pet accessories manufacturer Hunter has set up a new Hunter brand store in Zagreb city centre in cooperation with its Croatian trading partner Zoo City. The 50 m² large store was fitted out in accordance with the Hunter shop system guidelines and provides an impressive backdrop for most of the company's range, currently comprising around 5 500 products. This opening brings the number of Hunter brand stores worldwide to eight.
