Hydor establishes a branch near Sacramento
The Italian company Hydor, one of the leading producers of high-tech aquarium equipment, has launched a subsidiary in the United States with Hydor USA. The town of Orangevail, near Sacramento, California, was chosen as the location for the new branch’s offices and showroom. Hydor will also have a warehouse close to Los Angeles in order to handle orders from the North American market as quickly as possible.
To manage its new North American branch, Hydor has chosen Phillip M. Cooper, a well-known name in the American pet market. Cooper has been a successful director of marketing in several important American companies in the pet sector for years. Elio Angriman, Hydor’s sales and marketing director, said “We have known and appreciated Phillip for years. This relationship of friendship and esteem was the reason why we asked him to manage our American branch.”
The decision to establish a new branch of the company in the United States represents a step forward in a strategy aimed at reaching and conquering all the international aquatics markets, starting with North America. According to the company, the Hydor USA branch is just the first step on the road to conquering the North American market and exporting Hydor’s brand and products worldwide.
