K9 Natural expands partnership with Pet Valu

Natural Pet Food Group has launched its K9 Natural Baked & Coated dog food range in Canada, available exclusively through the Pet Valu family of stores until May 2027, according to a company press release. The launch builds on K9 Natural’s existing relationship with the Canadian pet retailer, which began in autumn 2025.

The distribution agreement covers Pet Valu, Bosley’s by Pet Valu, Paulmac’s Pets, Tisol and Total Pet. With more than 800 corporate-owned and franchised locations across Canada, Pet Valu is the country’s leading specialty retailer of pet food and supplies.

The introduction of Baked & Coated complements K9 Natural’s existing freeze-dried and wet food offerings at Pet Valu, bringing the brand’s high-meat nutrition to the dry food aisle for the first time.

“Bringing Baked & Coated to Pet Valu allows us to introduce the range to Canadian pet parents through a trusted retailer,” said Michael Harrison, Western Canada Sales Executive at Natural Pet Food Group in the media statement.

The new range comprises three recipes: Grass-Fed Red, featuring New Zealand beef and lamb; Cage-Free Poultry, featuring chicken and turkey; and Wild Ocean Fish, featuring sustainably caught salmon, herring, cod and whitefish.

According to the company’s press release, each grain-free recipe contains 40 per cent protein, with animal-derived ingredients occupying the first eight positions on the ingredient list. The products also have a claimed digestibility of 90 per cent and contain no meat meals, artificial preservatives, colours or flavours.
