Magnusson Petfood: Black pudding as wet food for dogs

The Swedish pet food manufacturer Magnusson Petfood has added a blood sausage to its range of wet dog food. The product (originally named ‘Svenska Blodpudding’) is sold in a roll and, according to the manufacturer, can be used as a complete feed, a topping or a snack. The main ingredients are pork and beef. These are supplemented by, amongst other things, 10 per cent beef blood, pork liver, rye and barley flour, and cranberries.

According to Magnusson, the sausage has a shelf life of twelve months at room temperature when unopened. Like the rest of the range, it is produced on the company’s family farm in Bro. According to the company, the ingredients come exclusively from Sweden.
