Swedish pet food manufacturer Magnusson Petfood is expanding its wet food range to include black pudding for dogs. The product, ‘Svenska Blodpudding’, is available as a complete feed, a topping or a snack, and is said to be made exclusively from Swedish ingredients.

The recipe contains, amongst other things, 24 per cent pork, 22 per cent beef, 14 per cent pork belly and 10 per cent beef blood. It is supplemented with pork liver, bacon, rye and barley flour, lingonberries and cold-pressed rapeseed oil. The food is produced at the family-owned Håbolund farm in Sweden and has a shelf life of twelve months at room temperature when unopened.

Magnusson Petfood has been certified to the Swedish food standard since 2018. The company also highlights its use of Swedish raw materials and its measures to promote energy saving and sustainability.

The family-run business, based in Bro, has been producing dog and cat food for three generations. The company was founded in the 1960s by Oma Magnusson, a Great Dane breeder.
