The US online retailer Chewy significantly increased its revenue and profit in the second quarter of the 2026 financial year. Growth was driven, amongst other things, by the veterinary, fresh and frozen products, and equine supplies sectors.
According to media reports, Chewy achieved revenue of US$3.3 billion (€2.9 billion) in the second quarter (Q2) of the 2026 financial year (FY), which ended on 2 August 2026. This represents an increase of 7.3 per cent compared with the same period last year. Adjusted for the contributions from the recent acquisitions of SmartEquine (formerly SmartPak) and the animal health services provider Modern Animal, organic revenue growth stood at 5.7 per cent.
Net profit rose by 30 per cent to US$80.5 million (€70 million). Basic earnings per share amounted to US$0.20 (€0.17).
