Vusion, which describes itself as the world’s leading provider of AI-powered digitalisation solutions for the high street retail sector, has signed an agreement to acquire In-Store Media (ISM). Founded in 1998 and based in Barcelona, the company specialises in in-store retail media and develops and markets retail media networks at physical points of sale.
With this acquisition, Vusion aims to accelerate the digitalisation of in-store retail media and further transform brick-and-mortar retail into a digital media platform. Whilst retail media has developed into a key revenue driver in recent years, primarily through online channels, most purchasing decisions are still made in-store – an environment which, according to Vusion, is likely to be one of the fastest-growing areas of the retail media sector in the future.
