Years, a UK Cupboard Fresh dog food brand, has announced a growth investment from evergreen investment firm Verlinvest, in partnership with consumer specialist Five Seasons Ventures. The funding will support the company's next phase of expansion across retail channels and European markets.
Founded in 2023 by Darren Beale and Ivan Barashki and headquartered in Nottingham, Years uses its proprietary Cupboard Fresh technology to produce nutritionally complete wholefood meals with up to 18 months of ambient shelf life — no freezer and no cold chain required. Since launch the company has shipped more than 12 million personalised meals, each tailored to a dog's weight, age and nutritional profile. It recently extended its retail footprint through a partnership with Pets at Home, making its range available in more than 460 UK stores as well as online.
