European online pet shop Bitiba celebrates its anniversary

From a small e-commerce start-up to a major player in the European online pet retail sector: Bitiba is celebrating its 20th anniversary. ‘What began as an idea to provide close support to existing customers and build long-term loyalty has developed into a Europe-wide success story,’ the Munich-based retailer announced in a press release. “Today, millions of pets and pet owners rely on our range every day, making Bitiba a major player in the digital, dynamically growing market for pet supplies.”

According to the company, the total amount of cat litter delivered over the past 20 years is equivalent to the weight of over 11,000 elephants. More than 47 million pet treats have been delivered – around 4.5 treats per minute. If all the parcels were stacked on top of one another, the tower would be 1,000 times the height of Mount Everest, the company adds.
