Rosengarten Italia is founded

Following expansion into Austria, Switzerland and Poland, Italy is now next in line: “We want to build a small animal crematorium with our partners in the Greater Milan area. Ideally, construction will start in Q2 2027“, reports Arndt Nietfeld, Rosengarten's managing director. Even after 14 years, the company remains owner-managed and currently has 70 locations and 650 employees worldwide.

The property and first employees have already been found for the new location. “The plan is to gain a foothold in northern Italy and gain initial experience in Milan. We will install a state-of-the-art facility from IFZW there. Our proximity to locations in Switzerland will facilitate knowledge transfer”, explains Nietfeld, who began the internationalisation of Rosengarten in 2022. The high number of households with pets makes Italy a very interesting market. “We always approach new countries with a great deal of respect, taking into account their culture, existing markets and suppliers."
