Casco appoints chief technology officer

Global pet care solutions provider Casco Pet has appointed Avi Solomon as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), responsible for driving product development and technological innovation. According to the press release, the newly created position will strengthen the company's leadership team and enable it to continue its growth strategy and expand its global market presence in the veterinary and pet care sectors.

Solomon is a founding member of Modern Animal and a former product manager at Idexx, as well as having worked as a veterinary assistant. He has over 20 years' experience advancing veterinary medicine through innovative design and technology.

In his new role, he will be responsible for developing Casco Pet's technology ecosystem, including the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and connected devices.

Focusing on practical application in clinical practice, he will lead product development, driving impactful innovations that can be integrated into existing workflows to maximise clinical relevance and effectiveness.

His extensive clinical experience in emergency and intensive care medicine has shaped his practical approach to innovation. In his role as product manager at Modern Animal, he spearheaded the development of integrated electronic patient records, customer-centric apps, and systems that facilitate connections between hospitals and external services.
