Zoomark's central role in the global pet industry has once again been confirmed. Pascale Sonvico, show office and sales manager, is more than satisfied with the 21st edition of the exhibition: "We’re wrapping up an outstanding edition, which once again confirms Zoomark’s central role in the global pet industry. This recently concluded event stood out not only for its impressive numbers, but above all for the energy, the exchange of ideas, and the wealth of connections and business opportunities it created." The 21st edition of the international trade fair took place from 5 to 7 May at BolognaFiere.
An important part of this event was the presentation of the Pet Vision Awards and the Next Award for Pet Innovators 2025. These awards recognise the most innovative and original products in pet food and care.
The four megatrend winners of the Pet Vision Awards are
- In the value-for-money-category, which recognises products and services that offer excellent value for money, the first prize went to VisioFocus Animal by Tecnimed S.r.l.: a contactless infrared thermometer that measures the temperature of pets directly on the eye.
- Lunch Boxes for Dogs & Cats by Viozois Sa, the pet food range in an original 100 per cent recyclable lunch box without composite materials, wins in the category of products and services that stand out for their environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
- In the Brain & Health megatrend, which includes products that promote the psychophysical well-being of animals, including cognitive and behavioural development, the award went to Natsbi Steamed Dog by Gosbi Pet Food: dog food with a high meat or fish content that is gently steamed to preserve nutrients and does not need to be refrigerated or frozen.
- Finally, first place in the Mini-Mania-category, dedicated to products and services for the special needs of small pets, went to Linea Fieni by Mantovani Pet Diffusion Srl.: a range of natural hay and snacks for rodents.
The Next Award for Pet Innovators was presented for the first time at Zoomark this year – a new award for start-ups that are changing the pet industry with original ideas and groundbreaking technologies. The award went to Domethics' Carepet, a smart pet bed that uses a dedicated app to monitor vital signs such as heart rate, respiration and sleep quality, as well as environmental conditions, in real time.
